From its beginnings as the Kansas Wesleyan School of Business in 1882, Brown Mackie College is now a system of schools located throughout the U.S. that offers undergraduate degrees in the areas of accounting and business, criminal justice and legal studies, computer technology, and health care. Each program is designed to help students develop the skills, knowledge, and professionalism to help them advance in their current career or launch a new one.

Nursing Programs At Brown Mackie College:
Nursing programs offers study in the areas of science, medications, patient care, and medical recordkeeping. The knowledge gained from coursework forms the basis for utilizing the nursing process in a professional practice. Concurrent integration of theory into clinical practice is an important aspect of professional nursing education. Graduates of these programs will have the opportunity to pursue employment in a variety of settings including, hospitals, long-term care facilities, and home health.
1. Certificate in Practical Nursing (LPN) -
This program in Practical Nursing balances classroom instruction with clinical experience. Students receive a solid foundation in the areas of medical-surgical nursing, pediatrics, obstetrics, geriatrics, and pharmacology. Graduates of this program qualify to pursue the LPN State Board licensure. Entry-level Employment Opportunities Hospitals Nursing Homes Clinics Health Care Facilities.
2. Diploma in Practical Nursing (LPN)-

3. Associate of Applied Science in Nursing (ADN)-
This Nursing program provides the graduates with principles and knowledge from the biological and behavioral sciences, general education as well as the science of nursing. This knowledge forms the basis for utilizing the nursing process in a professional practice. Concurrent integration of theory into clinical practice is an important aspect of professional nursing education. The program prepares the student for the testing required by the Kansas State Board of Nursing for the licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse.
NOTE: Not all programs and subjects are available in all schools.
Brown Mackie has 26 locations in the United States. With the exception of its Kansas and Oklahoma campuses, all campuses are accredited by the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools. Kansas campuses are accredited by The Higher Learning Commission, and the Oklahoma campus is licensed by the Oklahoma Board of Private Vocational Schools
